Virginia's Bob Seidel Named ACC Wrestler of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia wrestler Bob Seidel (Wall, N.J./Wall) was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week after winning two matches in the 141-pound weight class. Seidel, a redshirt-junior, earned both of his wins against conference opponents. He posted a 10-2 major decision victory against Duke’s Harry Clarke on Saturday, February 16th before pinning N.C. State’s Ryan McCallum at 4:10 on Sunday, February 17th.
This season, Seidel stands 8-11 overall, 5-5 in dual matches. He is tied for first on the team with four victories by fall and has also recorded one major decision win. Seidel helped Virginia go 1-1 for the week. The Cavaliers (4-10 overall, 1-2 ACC) earned their first conference victory of the year by defeating Duke 28-11 (February 16th) before falling to N.C. State 31-13 (February 17th).
