UVa Women's Tennis Drops Richmond, 6-1

Charlottesville, Va. – The Uva women’s tennis team improved to 10-3 on the season, following a 6-1 victory over Richmond, on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers took five of six singles matches, as well as the doubles point.
In singles, Henriette Williams picked up her seventh win of the season, as she defeated Jeannette Cluskey, 6-1, 6-3. Williams also teamed with Jennifer Tuchband, to defeat Jeannette Cluskey and Patty Devlin, 8-3. Williams and Tuchband have won four matches in a row at No. 1 doubles.
Amy O’Donnell improved to 12-3 in her senior season, as she defeated Lindsay Cox, 3-6, 6-3 (10-8). O’Donnell teamed with Christine Kim to defeat Casey Cohen and Courtney Klein, which clinched the double point for the Cavaliers. O’Donnell and Kim are 5-2 at No. 3 doubles this season.
Dora Bechliwanis earned her 13th win of the season, defeating Cohen at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Twin sister Marta picked up her team-best 17th victory of the season, as she defeated Klein at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-0. Laura James closed the win for the Cavaliers, defeating Patty Devlin in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. James is now 9-6 on the season.
The Cavaliers have postponed their upcoming match with Virginia Commonwealth, and have yet to announce the rescheduled date for that match.
