Virginia’s Lauren Aumiller (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) and Lindsay Buchanan (Baltimore, Md./Towson) were both named to the IWLCA National Academic Squad, as announced by the organization today. The award recognizes those players who achieve excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
Aumiller, a third-year economics major, was named an All-American for the second consecutive year while leading the nation in scoring with 106 points.
Buchanan is a third-year finance major in the McIntire School of Commerce who played line defense for the Cavaliers, who won the ACC regular-season crown for the first time since 1993.
