CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s swimming and diving team begins the second half of its season by hosting fourth-ranked Tennessee Friday (January 11) at the UVa Aquatic and Fitness Center. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. The swimming team has not had a competition since winning the Cavalier Invitational November 29-December 1.

The Cavaliers, who are ranked 11th in the latest College Swim Coaches Association of America Top 25 Poll, stand at 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Volunteers have won all three of their dual meets this season.

In addition to the men’s meet against Tennessee on Friday, the men and women resume conference action by hosting N.C. State at the Aquatic and Fitness Center on Saturday (January 12) at 1:00 p.m. The one-meter diving competition will begin at 11:45 a.m.

The UVa women, ranked 14th in the nation, are 4-0 in dual meet action and 1-0 in the ACC. The N.C. State women are 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the ACC, while the Wolfpack men are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Admission to home Virginia swimming and diving meets is free of charge.
