Virginia’s Jane Maxwell and Eliese Mitchell both competed at the NCAA Track and Field Championships held today at California State University at Sacramento. Maxwell finished 11th overall in the 10K with a season-best time while Mitchell finished 16th in the shot put.
Maxwell, the ACC Champion in the 10K, ran a season best 33:55.98 and finished 11th overall.
Mitchell, the school record holder in the shot put, tossed 15.50m (50-10.25).
Kiamesha Otey (long jump) and Dawn Cleary (steeplechase) compete in the finals of their events on Friday, June 13.
