CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s and women’s diving teams will open the second half of their season by competing in the Georgia Diving Invitational at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga. January 3-5. The meet is the first competition for the Cavaliers since several members of the diving team competed in the Texas A&M Invitational November 21-23.
For the Virginia men, fourth-year captain Pete Amstutz (St. Joseph, Mich./St. Joseph), and second-years Andrew Barber (Vienna, Va./Marshall) and Eric Kelley (Rockford, Ill./Rockford Christian School) will compete in the meet.
The Cavalier women will be represented in the Georgia Diving Invitational by fourth-year captain Katie Prior (Dallas, Texas/Logos Academy), second-year Gretchen Haughey (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs), and second-year Patty Park (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton).
