WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Virginia men’s tennis team continued their strong play at the 2004 ACC Coaches Indoor Championships. The Cavaliers had two players advance to the singles semifinals, which will be held Sunday.
The two seeded Virginia singles players both advanced to the semifinals with a pair of wins on Saturday. Doug Stewart (Malibu, Calif.), the tournament’s No. 2 seed, defeated a pair of Duke players, Christopher Brown and seventh seeded Jonathan Stokke, en route to the semifinals. Stephen Rozek (Chardon, Ohio), the No. 4 seed, defeated a pair of Wake Forest players, Todd Paul and fifth seeded Andrew Hamar, to reach the semifinals.
The ACC Indoor Championships conclude Sunday at Wake Forest.
