Inge Jorgensen Earns All-American Honors at NCAA Track and Field Championships

Inge Jorgensen earned her second consecutive All-American honor tonight as she took eighth in the javelin at the NCAA Track and Field Championships held at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Jorgensen, the reigning ACC Champion, threw a 161′ 6″ (49.23m) on her second throw to take eighth, scoring for the Cavaliers in the team competition. She did not compete in 2002 or 2003 due to injury, but was an All-American in 2001 in the same event.

Teammate Kellen Blassingame competed in the 400m preliminary rounds, running a 46.45 and finishing ranked 13th after the preliminaries.
