Sarah Huffman Featured in Sports Illustrated

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia women’s soccer third year midfielder Sarah Huffman (Flower Mound, Texas.) is featured in the “Faces in the Crowd” section of Sports Illustrated’s December 6 issue.

Huffman was honored for her role in helping the Cavaliers to a 17-3-2 record this season. Virginia won its first ACC Championship and Huffman was named Co-MVP of the ACC Tournament. She was also named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year as Virginia posted a school record 14 shutouts.

In addition to her ACC honors, Huffman is also a finalist for Soccer Buzz Magazine’s National Player of the Year award and earlier this week was named to the NSCAA All-Mid Atlantic Region first team, making her eligible for NSCAA All-America honors.
