CORVALLIS, Oregon – The #2 seeded Virginia Cavaliers (41-19) will face the #4 seed Ohio State Buckeyes (39-19) on Saturday, June 4th at 1:00 PM (PT) in the first elimination game of the 2005 Corvallis Regional at Coleman Field at Goss Stadium on the campus of Oregon State University.
UVa dropped a 5-3 decision to #3 seed St. John’s and Ohio State fell to #1 seed Oregon State 4-3 on the first day of the 2005 NCAA Regionals. Virginia and Ohio State will play at 1:00 PM and St. John’s and Oregon State will play at 6:00 PM on Saturday.
The Cavaliers are expected to start RHP Jeff Kamrath (9-4, 2.23 ERA, 93.0 IP, 74 K) on the mound against the Buckeyes. This will be the first meeting between Virginia and Ohio State in baseball.
