CHARLOTTESVILLE – Jon Oliver, a member of the athletics administration at the University of Virginia since November of 2001, is assuming the title of Executive Associate Athletics Director. Virginia Director of Athletics Craig Littlepage announced the title change on Friday (July 29).
“This title more accurately reflects Jon Oliver’s senior role in the administrative structure of the athletics department,” Littlepage said. “Additionally, it recognizes the significant contributions Jon has made to the department’s growth and success during the past four years.”
Oliver is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the department. He also is the administrative liaison for football and men’s basketball, and is the athletics department’s point person for the John Paul Jones Arena project.
Oliver came to UVa as the senior associate director of athletics for administration after working in the athletics department at Washington State University from 1995-2001.
