Men’s Tennis Hosts UVa Fall Invitational This Weekend

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s tennis team will host the fourth annual UVa Fall Invitational September 23-25 at the Snyder Tennis Center. This year’s event will involve 15 schools and features 19 ranked singles players.

The three-day event will feature a 48-player singles Flight A and a 48-player singles Flight B. Amongst the 19 ranked players in Flight A, are six ranked Cavaliers (#6 Doug Stewart, #16 Rylan Rizza, #45 Darrin Cohen, #61 Marko Miklo, #122 Treat Huey, and #125 Jarrett Chirico). Flight A also will feature preseason top 30 players Arnaud Lecloerec (#8) of VCU and Josh Cohen (#20) and Luigi D’Agord (#26) of Miami. The tournament will also have three 16-team doubles draws.

“This tournament will be a great showcase of collegiate tennis at its highest level,” said Virginia head coach Brian Boland. “Each year this tournament has gotten stronger and stronger, and with 19 ranked players in this year’s field, the level of play should be tremendous.”

Play begins at 9:00 am each day at the Snyder Tennis Center and admission is free. Updated Draws will be available throughout the tournament on virginiasports.com
