Today’s Game: The Cavaliers return home for the first time in 11 days as they host Mount St. Mary’s. Virginia fell to Old Dominion 3-0 and defeated Boston College 4-3 while on the road last week. The Mountaineers are 1-4-2 on the season after a 2-1 loss at home Sunday to Longwood.

The Series vs. Mount St. Mary’s: Wednesday’s game is the fifth all-time meeting between the schools with the Cavaliers winning each of the previous four meetings. The last meeting came in 2003 when Virginia won 1-0 at Klöckner Stadium.

In the Rankings: The Cavaliers are ranked No. 11 by the NSCAA, No. 14 by Soccer America, No. 8 by College Soccer News, and No. 9 by Soccer Times in the current national rankings.

Cavaliers Among National Leaders: Several Cavaliers are among the nation’s statistical leaders. Adam Cristman ranks T-20th with 0.86 goals per game. Chris Tierney ranks T-9 with 0.71 assists per game. Yannick Reyering would rank in the top 20 nationally in goals per game and points per game, but doesn’t meet the NCAA minimum requirement of playing in at 75% of the team’s games yet. As a team, the Cavaliers rank T-4 with 5 shutouts.
