CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia’s Yannick Reyering has been selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after scoring a pair of goals in leading the Cavaliers to a perfect 2-0-0 week. Reyering was also named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
Reyering kept Virginia perfect in league play notching the game-winner in the 88th minute of action as the Cavaliers downed Duke 1-0. The freshman forward took a pass from Adam Cristman and found the back of the net from 12 yards out for the win.
Against St. Francis, N.Y., the Mettingen, Germany native scored the game’s first goal eight minutes into the match as Virginia posted a 2-1 victory.
For the season, Reyering leads the team with 10 goals and 21 points.
Reyering and the Cavaliers are back in action as they travel to Maryland on Wednesday before returning home to face Liberty on Saturday.
