CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s basketball team participated in the 12th annual Martha’s Market to raise money for Martha Jefferson Hospital’s breast health services and women’s healthcare in Central Virginia on October 21.
Organized by The Women’s Committee of Martha Jefferson Hospital, the event brings together a collection of boutique-style merchandise for three days of a unique shopping experience. More than 40 different businesses were represented this year offering jewelry, clothing, gifts, antiques, garden and home accessories, and pet paraphernalia in a wide range of prices.
The Cavaliers sold raffle tickets for various gift baskets. (See attached pictures.)
The Cavaliers will host an exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. in University Hall against the E.A. Sports, an all-star team of former collegiate players. Admission to the event is free to the public.
Virginia opens the season at George Washington on Friday, Nov. 18. UVa’s home opener is set for Sunday, Nov. 20 with Wright State.
