CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The 11th-ranked Virginia women’s rowing team will compete against top-ranked Princeton University and fourth-ranked Yale University on Saturday, April 15. The regatta will begin at 9 a.m. on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
The Cavaliers enter the competition after competing against Michigan State last weekend. UVa won one of its four events at the regatta, with the second varsity eight having the only victory.
The Tigers finished the 2005 season fifth in the NCAA Championships and placed second at the Eastern Association of Women’s Rowing Colleges Sprints. Princeton’s varsity eight crew enters the competition undefeated. Virginia competed against Princeton in the fall, finishing second and third to the Tigers in the open eight and open four competitions, respectively.
Yale finished the 2005 season seventh in the NCAA Championships and fourth in the Eastern Association of Women’s Rowing Colleges Sprints.
