Millen Named ACC Co-Swimming Performer of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia senior John Millen (Lilburn, Ga.) was named ACC men’s Swimming and Diving Co-Performer of the Week conference officials announced on Monday. Millen shares the honor with Florida State’s Billy Jamerson.

Millen won three individual events last weekend to lead the Cavaliers to the championship of the Big Al Invitational at Princeton University. He won the 500 Free in a NCAA B cut time of 4:25.71, the 1650 Free in a NCAA B cut time of 15:22.05, and the 200 Free in 1:38.69. He also was a member of the Cavaliers’ 800 Free Relay team that won in a NCAA B cut time of 6:37.03.

The honor is the second of the season for Millen, who was also honored on October 30.

The Virginia men’s and women’s swimming teams return to dual meet action on January 12 when they visit Florida.
