Men's Lacrosse Downs Towson 14-7

Towson, Md. – Virginia jumped to an 11-1 halftime lead and rolled to a 14-7 win over Towson on a blustery Sunday afternoon at Unitas Stadium.
Virginia remains undefeated with an 8-0 record as the Cavaliers are off to the best start in school history.
Midfielder Kyle Dixon scored less than two minutes in on the team’s first shot to get the Cavaliers rolling. Virginia opened by scoring the game’s first seven goals and built a 13-1 lead before Towson scored six of the game’s last seven goals.
Matt Poskay and Garrett Billings scored three goals to lead the Cavalier offense. Ben Rubeor notched two goals and added three assists. Kip Turner started in goal for Virginia and played a little more than a half with three saves before giving way to Bud Petit.
Virginia returns to action against Johns Hopkins Saturday at 1 pm at Klöckner Stadium.
