TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Virginia Cavaliers dropped their fourth straight ACC game with a 63-47 decision to Florida State at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center on Sunday afternoon.

Virginia fell to 12-9 overall and 2-5 in ACC play, while the Seminoles improved to 16-5 overall and 5-1 in the league.

FSU opened the game with a 6-0 run before UVa made its first bucket. The Seminoles led by as many as eight points. The Cavaliers then went on a 17-3 run, fueled by three straight lay-ups by freshman Monica Wright (Woodbridge, Va.) and a three-point basket from senior Brenna McGuire (Winchester, Mass.), to go ahead by six, 23-17. Virginia held a one-point advantage at intermission, 28-27.

In the second half, FSU netted the first five points, holding Virginia to just two buckets over a seven-minute span. The Seminoles then went on an 11-2 run to go ahead by nine, 45-36, and continued to build their lead into double digits. UVa scored just 19 points in the second half.

Sophomore Lyndra Littles (Washington, D.C.) netted her 10th double-double of the season (15th in her career) with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Paulisha Kellum (Upper Marlboro, Md.) came off the bench for 10 points, eight in the second half alone. Senior Siedah Williams (Cleveland, Ohio) grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds.

Alicia Gladden led four Seminoles in double digits with 21 points. Jacinta Monroe added 15 points and team-best 10 boards.

Overall, UVa out-rebounded State, 44-40.

Virginia returns home to John Paul Jones Arena on Friday, Feb. 2 to host No. 1 Duke. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. The Regional Sports Network will televise the game.
