Virginia Stands Fifth at ACC Indoor Championships

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Virginia women’s track and field team stands in fifth at the end of the first day of competition at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships, thanks to Bianca Debartolo’s seventh place finish in the pentathlon. DeBartolo scored 3661 after putting together solid marks in today’s meet. She won the 60m hurdles portion of the event, running a team-best 8.65. Her marks in the high jump (1.56m, 5′ 1.25″) and the 800m (2:35.94) were also her best results of the season, while she missed her top long jump by just seven centimeters and her best shot put result by 20 centimeters.
The Cavaliers continue action in the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday and Saturday (Feb. 23-24) in Clemson, S.C.
