CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia baseball team will play its only home game in a two-week span Tuesday afternoon as it hosts Niagara. The Cavaliers and Purple Eagles are set for a 4:00 first pitch at Davenport Field.

The Cavaliers (16-3) are No. 4 in the latest Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball rankings released on Monday. Virginia is a perfect 12-0 at home this season.

The Purple Eagles enter the game with a 3-6 record after winning a pair of games at Virginia Wesleyan over the weekend. Niagara is led by junior first baseman Tim Alberts, who has a 31-game hit streak, dating back to last season.

Virginia will start sophomore right-hander Andrew Carraway (Marietta, Ga.). It will be his first start of the season. In six relief appearances this year, Carraway is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA. He has allowed no runs on four hits and struck out 12 in 12.0 innings of work. Niagara has not announced a starter.

Virginia resumes ACC play this weekend as they play a three-game series at No. 1 North Carolina.
