The No. 2 Virginia men’s tennis team (14-1, 2-0) continues its season-long six game road trip as it travels to the state of Texas this weekend to take on two top-15 teams. The Cavaliers face No. 5 Baylor (11-2) on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET and then travel to Austin to take on No. 13 University of Texas (8-5) at 6 p.m. ET.
Last match, the Cavaliers defeated Harvard and Boston College in a doubleheader to cement their best start to a season in school history. Virginia defeated the Crimson 6-1 and then downed the Eagles, 7-0, to register their second ACC victory of the season. Junior Somdev Devvarman (Chennai, India) registered a pair of singles victories as well as a pair of doubles victories. Devvarman is currently ranked the No. 2 singles player in the country, and teams with junior Treat Huey (Alexandria, Va.) to form the No. 3 doubles player in the country.

The Cavaliers are riding a six-game winning streak following their only loss of the season to No. 1 Georgia at the National Team Indoor Championships. After this weekend, the Cavaliers will open up the bulk of their conference schedule as they travel to NC State on Mar. 23.
