CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Due to inclement weather in the Chapel Hill area, the Virginia softball team’s three-game series against North Carolina has been revised. A single game will be played on Saturday (March 17) at 3 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Sunday (March 18) at 1 p.m. The Atlantic Coast Conference season-opening series for both teams will be played at UNC’s Anderson Stadium.
The Cavaliers, who have not played since March 6, stand at 8-16 on the season. In its last outing, Virginia dropped both ends of a doubleheader at East Carolina (4-3 and 7-1) on March 6. North Carolina is 24-8 on the season and has won a school record 17 consecutive games.
