BRATISLAVA, Slovakia – After wrapping up a perfect 6-0 record and a No. 1 seed into the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championship quarterfinals, the USA U19 Women were treated to dinner at the home of the U.S. Ambassador in Slovakia, Rodolphe “Skip” Vallee, on Thursday evening. It was a welcomed opportunity for the girls to dress up and eat like dignitaries
Virginia’s Monica Wright (Woodbridge, Va.), the team’s captain, presented Ambassador Vallee with some USA Basketball gear as a thank you for the evening.
No. 1 seed USA is set to face No. 4 Czech Republic on Friday in the tournament quarterfinals. The 2007 U19 World Championship semifinals will be played on Saturday, Aug. 4, and the gold medal game will be contested on Sunday, Aug. 5.
