My favorite moment in sports history (personal):Scoring the goal to take the game into OT with 10 seconds left, it was a straight shot on a sharp corner and we went on to win the game.

My favorite moment in sports history (overall):When the US women’s national soccer team won the 1996 World Cup

Best hockey game I have been a part of (and any details):Game for the Gold medal at the 2003 Hockey Festival. We scored in the last 5 minutes then kept control of the ball.

Best hockey game I have ever seen:A national team game at the Complex in Va. Beach

Why I play hockey….:I love being part of a team where nothing can be accomplished without sacrifice on every person’s part. I like competition and feeling like I’ve made progress in my skills/understanding of the game.

A brief summary of my early hockey history (introduction to the sport, etc):I have played on a rec team since 4th grade, but started to really enjoy/understand the game when I made my middle school’s team.

If I could invite someone to dinner, it would be (and why):George Washington; I would want to know if he had an idea of what type of country the US would become.

What do Michele and her staff bring to Virginia?:Knowledge of the game. A great balance of work and play. A new sense of confidence.

Why did I choose the number that I have?It was assigned to me. I’m not really superstitious, so I felt no need to change it.

Please write a quote about your time here at UVa with a the school and the team:It has had its ups and downs, but overall it has been a great atmospherer that has allowed me to grow and make lifelong friendships.

What is something about me that is unique/different? Perhaps a project in school, or a club/organization to which you belong.I am a member and treasurer of Sexual Assault Peer Advocacy. We present to groups around the University on how to help friends/loved ones who have been sexually assaulted.
