Virginia tight end Tom Santi has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in lifting the Cavaliers to a 24-13 win over Duke on Saturday. With the win the Cavaliers evened their record at 1-1 this season.

Santi led the team in receiving with six receptions for 54 yards and two touchdowns in the Cavaliers’ 11-point win. Four of his six catches resulted in either a touchdown or first down. The Nashville, Tenn., native became the first UVa tight end to catch two touchdown passes in a game since Heath Miller did so against Akron in 2004. In addition to his strong play as a receiver, Santi helped block for an offense that did not give up a single sack and rushed for almost 200 yards on the day.

Virginia faces North Carolina in Chapel Hill Saturday at noon. The game is being televised on the Lincoln Financial Sports/Raycom ACC network.
