Zionsville, IN — The Virginia men’s golf team is in seventh place after two rounds of play at the 15-team Wolf Run Intercollegiate. The Cavaliers posted rounds of 10-over 294 and 11-over 295 for a 36-hole total of 589. Michigan leads the field at 569 while Indiana is second at 573.

Virginia was led by senior Greg Carlin and freshman Amory Davis. Both players finished the first day’s play at 3-over 145. Carlin shot 1-under 70 in the first round, the lowest 18-hole score by any UVa player Saturday. He had a 75 in the second round. After posting a 3-over 74 in his first collegiate round, Davis carded a 71 in the second round. Both players are tied for 14th overall.

Conrad Von Borsig is in 46th place at 150 while freshman Will Collins is 51st at 151. Kyle Stough was 61st at 154.

Indiana’s Seth Brandon shot 68 and 69 for a first-day total of 5-under 137 to take a five-shot lead into Sunday’s final round.
