Women's Tennis Hosts Inaugural UVa Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE– The Virginia women’s tennis team will host the inaugural UVa Women’s Fall Invitational this weekend at the Snyder Tennis Center. A field of seven teams will take part in the event, which is being hosted by the Cavaliers for the first time.
Virginia will be joined by Marshall, Old Dominion, South Carolina, UNC-Greensboro, VCU, and William & Mary in the tournament. Six nationally ranked singles players are entered in the tournament: Tatsiana Uvarova of VCU (No. 26), Gira Schofield of South Carolina (No. 36), Katarina Zoricic of William & Mary (No. 46), Kellie Schmitt of Marshall (No. 48), Ana Zubori of South Carolina (No. 77), and Ragini Acharya of William & Mary (No. 90).
Play will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
