CLEMSON, S.C. The Virginia women’s tennis team concluded the road portion of its regular season schedule Sunday with a 7-0 loss at No. 23 Clemson. With the loss, the Cavaliers fall to 9-10 overall and 5-4 in the ACC.

The Cavaliers got a victory at No. 2 doubles as Lindsey Pereira (Arlington, Texas) and Maggie Yahner (Las Vegas, Nev.) defeated Estefania Balda and Federica van Adrichem 8-3. However, the Tigers scored wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take the opening point.

In singles, the Cavaliers forced third sets in three of the matches, but Clemson swept all six matches to complete the 7-0 victory.

The Cavaliers return to action next weekend as they host North Carolina and Duke in the final two regular season matches of the year.
