CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Orange Team’s bats came alive Wednesday afternoon in an 11-3 win over the Blue Team in Game 4 of the Orange and Blue World Series at Davenport Field. The seven-game series is now knotted at two games apiece. The Blue won the first three-game series, 2-1.

The Orange cranked out a dozen hits, half of which were for extra bases. Every starter had at least one hit for the Orange. Tyler Cannon (Jr., Pigeon Forge, Tenn.) hit a leadoff home run in the first inning as part of his 2-for-3 day. He also scored three runs. Danny Hultzen (Fr., Bethesda, Md.) homered and drove in three runs while going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Hultzen also earned the win on the mound, going five innings and allowing three earned runs and eight hits while striking out three. He did not walk a batter. Blue starter Jeff Lorick (Jr., Duluth, Ga.) took the defeat.

Jarrett Parker (So., Stafford, Va.) had a big day at the plate for the Blue Team, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Game five of the series is at 6 p.m. Friday. Because of an event at John Paul Jones Arena on Friday night, fans planning to attend the baseball game must park at the Emmet/Ivy Garage.
