BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Virginia women’s tennis team concluded play Sunday at the Hokie Fall Invitational at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center. The Cavaliers won one singles title and one doubles title on the final day.
In singles, Neela Vaez (Perrysburg, Ohio) won the Flight B title with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over No. 110 ranked Yasmin Hamza of Virginia Tech. In the Flight A final, Lindsey Hardenbergh (Fairfax Station, Va.) fell to No. 63 ranked Yevgeniya Stupak of East Tennessee State 6-2, 6-4.
In doubles, the team of Emily Fraser (Rye, N.Y.) and Maggie Yahner (Las Vegas, Nev.) won Flight A with an 8-4 win over Brouwer and Johnson of Virginia Tech in the final.
