CHARLOTTESVILLE The Virginia Sports Radio Network experienced several technical difficulties during broadcasts over the weekend. The live audio stream was not available on VirginiaSports.com for the women’s basketball game against High Point on Friday, Nov. 14. There were multiple dropouts across the statewide network during the broadcast of the men’s basketball game against Virginia Military Institute on Sunday, Nov. 16 due to satellite issues. The satellite downlink failed during the post-game show causing the network to go off the air.
“I apologize to all Virginia fans for the broadcast issues we experienced this past weekend,” said Jim Kuznar, general manager of Virginia Sports Properties. “We are working with our network flagship partner, Charlottesville Radio Group, to address and resolve these technical problems to ensure further issues do not occur.”
The Cavalier Call-In show with head football coach Al Groh airs across the Virginia Sports Network tonight from 7:06 8:00 p.m. The Virginia women’s basketball team plays Tennessee in Knoxville tonight at 7:00 p.m. Fans may listen to the women’s basketball game on AM 1070 WINA in the Charlottesville area or online at VirginiaSports.com via V-Pass. The Cavalier Call-In show will air in Charlottesville tonight on AM 1450 WVAX and across the statewide network in addition to being offered through V-Pass on VirginiaSports.com.
