CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. The 11th-ranked Virginia women’s basketball team hits the road for a Friday night match-up at No. 24 Old Dominion. Tip-off from the Ted Constant Convocation Center is 7 p.m., and live statistics are available at VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia (2-0) looks to continue its unbeaten streak and build on Monday night’s 83-82 upset at No. 5 Tennessee. In that game, Monica Wright poured in a career-high 35 points and Britnee Millner sunk a free throw with five seconds left in the game to key the victory.
Wright, who led the team in scoring last season, is picking up right where she left off in 2007-08, averaging 25.5 points per contest through two games. The preseason All-ACC candidate, Wade Watch list member and Wooden Award candidate is also contributing 5.0 blocks and 6.0 steals per game.
Old Dominion (2-1), ranked No. 25 by the Associated Press and No. 24 by the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll, is coming off of a 78-44 setback to No. 14 Texas on Monday night. The Lady Monarchs are riding a 26-game home win streak, which ties for the second-longest in the nation.
ODU knocked Virginia out of the 2008 NCAA Tournament, defeating the Cavaliers 88-85 in overtime on March 25, 2008. Jazzmin Walters hit a 3-pointer with 4.8 seconds remaining to send Old Dominion into the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
In the all-time series, Virginia trails, 17-14. The NCAA Tournament victory by the Lady Monarchs last season snapped a five-game Cavalier win streak in the series.
