CHARLOTTESVILLETickets for the Virginia men’s basketball team’s home games with Atlantic Coast Conference opponents go on sale Friday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. exclusively online at VirginiaSports.com. Telephone and ticket window sales of single-game tickets for home games with ACC opponents begin on Monday, Dec. 15, at 9 a.m.
Virginia hosts eight conference rivals at John Paul Jones Arena during the 2008-09 season. Those opponents include North Carolina (Jan. 15), Florida State (Jan. 24), Boston College (Feb. 4), Clemson (Feb. 15), Virginia Tech (Feb. 18), Miami (Feb. 26), Wake Forest (Feb. 28) and Maryland (March 7).
Tickets also remain on sale for Virginia’s upcoming non-conference home games with Longwood (Dec. 17), Auburn (Dec. 20), Hampton (Dec. 23), Xavier (Jan. 3) and Brown (Jan. 6).
The games with Auburn and Hampton are Family Nights at JPJA. For any Family Night game, fans are able to purchase four tickets, four hot dogs, four 22-ounce sodas and four popcorns for $48. Additional tickets may be added for $12 each.
Fans may purchase tickets by calling the Virginia athletics ticket office at 1-800-542-8821 or 434/924-8821 weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased in person by visiting the athletics ticket office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
