Cavaliers Return to Action with 90-61 Win Over Longwood

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -Sylven Landesberg scored a game-high 20 points to lead Virginia in a 90-61 rout of in-state foe Longwood on Wednesday night.
Sammy Zeglinski and Calvin Baker scored 14 apiece, and Jamil Tucker chipped in 11 for the Cavaliers (4-3). Tucker also had a game-high 10 rebounds, and Landesberg was 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
Antwan Carter scored 13 to lead the Lancers (5-6), and Dana Smith and Ryan Bogan chipped in 11 each.
The Cavaliers opened the game on a 15-2 run and never looked back, shooting 51.6 percent from the field (33 of 64) for the game in the win. The Lancers shot 38.5 percent (25 of 65).
Virginia outrebounded Longwood 49-23 in the contest.
