Virginia (7-2) is ranked No. 15 by the Associated Press and No. 17 by the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The Cavaliers are coming off of a two-week break for final exams, and defeated East Carolina, 80-67, in their last outing on Dec. 6.

In that game, Monica Wright notched her second double-double of the year and the seventh of her career with 23 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. First-year point guard Ariana Moorer, meanwhile, matched a career-high with 19 points en route to Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honors (Dec. 8).

Moorer has started all nine of the Cavaliers’ games at the position and is averaging 3.6 assists per game in addition to her 10.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Moorer set a new career-high with 14 rebounds at Illinois (Dec. 4), giving her a double-double for the first time in her career.

Wright, meanwhile, leads the ACC in scoring (21.8 points per game) and has scored 20 or more points in six-straight contests. A preseason All-ACC selection, Wright has had two 30+ points performances this year (career-high 35 points at Tennessee on Nov. 17 and 31 points at Marquette on Nov. 29).

Up next for the Cavaliers will be a home contest on Sunday, Dec. 21 vs. Mount St. Mary’s. Tip-off from John Paul Jones Arena is 1 p.m.
