CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Three Cavaliers placed in the top five of the men’s unseeded 5000m race to lead the Virginia track and field team in the first day of the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. Sophomore Graham Tribble led the trio with a runner-up finish in 14:47.04 and a split second later, freshman Ryan Collins crossed the line (14:47.05). Senior James Erickson took fifth in 14:52.88.

Junior Lauretta Dezubay rounded out those finishing in the top of their events, with a seventh place finish in the seeded 5000-meters. Her time of 17:01.71 marks a personal-best. Sophomore Trey Miller, also competing in the seeded 5000-meters, finished the event in a personal-best 14:15.53.

In the 400-meters, freshman Andrew Lobb recorded a personal-best time of 50.58.

Virginia will be back in action tomorrow to conclude the Raleigh Relays, while other Cavaliers will be competing in the Hurricane Challenge in Coral Gables, Fla.
