CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – All-American Emily Harrison has been named the ECAC Division I Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Player of the Week for the week ending April 6.

Harrison finished 10th overall in the 10000-meter run at the Stanford Invitational last weekend. Her time of 33:40.34 meets the NCAA provisional qualifying time and is the top Atlantic Coast Conference time this year. Nationally, her time ranks fifth.

The mark is also a personal-best for the senior and places her third on Virginia’s all-time top-10 list in the event.

Harrison will take a break from competition this weekend, however the Cavaliers will host the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The women’s hammer throw is scheduled for Friday, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Field events on Saturday open with the men’s discus at 9 a.m., while track events will start at 11 a.m., with the women’s steeplechase.
