CHARLOTTESVILLE Virginia women’s basketball head coach Debbie Ryan announced Monday that Enong Stovall is no longer a member of the women’s basketball team for academic reasons.
“We will really miss Enong,” Ryan said. “We wish her well in all of her future endeavors.”
Stovall, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., appeared in 54 games during her career and started seven. She averaged 3.3 points and 3.4 rebounds for her career.
This season, she appeared in 12 games and averaged 2.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
“I take full responsibility for this outcome,” Stovall said. “I would like to thank the team, my coaches and the fans for all their support.”
