UVa Men's Golfers Head to Tennessee for The Ridges

Charlottesville, VA – The 26th-ranked Virginia men’s golf team travels to Jonesboro, Tenn. this week to play in the 12th annual Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges, Oct. 16-18.
The field for this year’s tournament includes Auburn, defending champion Coastal Carolina, Duke, host school East Tennessee State, Kent State, Missouri, North Carolina, No. 10 NC State, No. 13 Oregon State, No. 21 Tennessee, UAB, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
Virginia’s lineup will feature senior Kyle Stough, juniors Amory Davis and Will Collins and sophomores Ben Kohles and Bruce Woodall. Kohles has posted three straight top-10 finishes this fall and leads the team with a 70.33 stroke average.
Last year Virginia finished 10th overall at The Ridges, led by Kohles’ 18th-place effort at 2-over 220. The Cavaliers best performance at the tournament came in 1999 when the team placed third.
