Singh and Devvarman Reach Asian Games Doubles Final

GUANGZHOU, China — Cavalier senior Sanam Singh and Virginia alumnus Somdev Devvarman have teamed to reach the doubles final of the 2010 Asian Games. The sixth-seeded duo will meet second-seeded Gong Mao-xin and Li Zhe of China in Monday’s final.
Singh and Devvarman, who were members of India’s bronze medal winning team earlier in the week, reached the doubles final with three wins, all in straight sets.
In singles, Devvarman reached the semifinals where he will play Tatsuma Ito of Japan.
