DURHAM, N.C. – The Virginia-Miami game in the ACC Baseball Championship has been halted because of rain for a third time today. The game was stopped at X:XX p.m. with XXXXX x-x.

The teams played an inning and a half this morning before torrential rains throughout the afternoon dumped approximately three-and-a-half inches of rain on the Durham area. The game restarted at 7:02 p.m. following a 7-hour, 34-minute delay.

The game continued until 8:34 p.m. before a brief six-minute delay.

The Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship Committee also decided that the North Carolina/Wake Forest game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, will be played following the completion of the Virginia/Miami game.

The game between Florida State and Georgia Tech, originally scheduled for 3 p.m. this afternoon, has been moved to a 9 a.m. starting time on Saturday. Tickets for Friday’s Florida State/Georgia Tech game will be honored on Saturday.

The three games scheduled for Saturday – Clemson/NC State, Miami/Wake Forest and Virginia/North Carolina – will be played in their original order following the Florida State/Georgia Tech game. There will be a 40-minute intermission between each game.

The ACC’s Regional Sports Network television partners will continue to provide live coverage of all remaining games. The game will air on Comcast SportsNet Plus in the Virginia area.
