CHARLOTTESVILLE – The No. 7 Virginia women’s soccer team concludes a four-game road trip on Sunday as it visits No. 6 Wake Forest. Game time at Spry Stadium is 1 p.m., and the game will be webcast at wakeforestsports.com.

Virginia (8-2-2, 2-1-1 ACC) concludes its longest road trip of the season on Sunday with its third consecutive game against a team ranked in the top six nationally. The Cavaliers downed then-No. 5 North Carolina 1-0 in double overtime on Sept. 25 and played a scoreless draw with No. 4 Duke on Thursday. Goalkeeper Chantel Jones (Midlothian, Va.) posted her sixth shutout of the season against the Blue Devils, extending her school record to 39 career shutouts.

Wake Forest (10-1-1, 3-0-1 ACC) is one of three remaining teams unbeaten in ACC play. The Demon Deacons are coming off a 0-0 draw with Virginia Tech on Thursday. Wake is led by forward Katie Stengel, who has an ACC-high 13 goals this season.

The Cavaliers lead the all-time series, 13-5-3, including a 6-2-2 record in Winston-Salem. Virginia won last season’s meeting 2-1 in Charlottesville, despite playing with 10 players for the final 77 minutes after an early red card. The last two meetings at Spry Stadium have ended in scoreless draws.

Virginia will return home on October 8 as it hosts No. 10 Florida State. Game time at Klöckner Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
