CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team (7-10, 0-3 ACC) will visit Wake Forest at 1 p.m. Saturday as Atlantic Coast Conference play continues for both teams. Live stats for the game will be linked on VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia is coming off a 4-3 win over cross-state rival William & Mary on Monday night. Sophomore Elly Buckley scored twice in the win while Britt Knouse and Jess Orrett also registered goals.

Buckley leads the Cavaliers offensively this season with 15 goals and also adds a team-best seven assists. Knouse and sophomore Carissa Vittese contribute seven and six goals, respectively. Freshman goalkeeper Jenny Johnstone has 63 saves in 15 starts in the cage for Virginia.

Wake Forest is 7-8 on the year and 0-3 in conference play. The Demon Deacons have won five games in a row since their last loss, 1-0 to North Carolina, on Sept. 30. Wake Forest most recently defeated Radford 5-0 on Tuesday at home.

Sophomore Kari Walkley heads the Demon Deacon offense with 11 goals while junior Lizzie Rae adds eight goals and a team-best five assists. In goal, junior Kaitlyn Ruhf posts a 2.08 goals against average and has 52 saves in 14 starts.

Virginia has a slight edge over Wake Forest in the all-time series, 18-15, after winning the last three meetings between the teams. The Demon Deacons last beat Virginia (4-3) in the second round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament in Winston-Salem, N.C.
