Sunday Virginia-Mississippi State Game Suspended, Will Restart at 4 p.m. Monday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The second game of the 2013 NCAA Charlottesville Super Regional at Davenport Field was suspended Sunday evening because of inclement weather. Virginia’s game with Mississippi State was delayed in the bottom of the seventh inning with MSU holding a 5-3 lead.
The game will resume at 4 p.m. Monday and will be televised by ESPN2 or ESPNU. UVa’s Kyle Crockett had an 0-2 count in the bottom of the seventh with none out while facing Hunter Renfroe. MSU leads the series, 1-0.

Game 2 – Mississippi State 5, Virginia 3 (suspended, 7th inning)
Monday, June 10
Game 2 resumption – 4 p.m.
Game 3 (if necessary) – 55 minutes following conclusion of first game
Tickets purchased for the super regional games are only valid for the originally ticketed session. There are no ticket refunds or exchanges as the normal rain policy is not in effect for postseason play. Fans who attended the UVa-Mississippi State game Sunday should bring their ticket stubs to the gate for re-entry.
All parking is $5 per day in the University Hall, John Paul Jones Arena and McCue Center lots. Parking will be free throughout the tournament in the Emmet/Ivy Garage. Fans who purchased parking on Sunday will be able to park in the University Hall, JPJA and McCue Center lots on Monday for no additional fee by showing their parking stub as long as parking spaces are available in those lots.
