CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The Virginia volleyball team travels to ACC foes Georgia Tech and Clemson this weekend (Nov. 1-2). Both matches are set for 6 p.m. starts.

UVa (12-10, 5-5 ACC) defeated ACC newcomer Notre Dame, 3-1, Sunday afternoon (Oct. 27) at Memorial Gymnasium. Junior Tori Janowski (Sterling, Va.) led the Cavaliers with 22 kills on .474 hitting, while classmate Mallory Woolridge (Glen Allen, Va.) hit .556 with 11 kills.

On the Virginia freshman kills list, first-year Haley Kole (Tallahassee, Fla.) moved up to sixth place with 12 kills against the Irish and now has 305 for the season. Senior Emily Rottman (Santa Barbara, Calif.) recorded 15 digs and moved in to a tie with Whitney Ashcraft (2000-03) for third place on the UVa career digs list with 1,603.

The Yellow Jackets (8-14, 2-8 ACC) split a pair of ACC matches last weekend, falling at Syracuse, 3-0, before defeating Boston College, 3-2. Jennifer Percy leads GT with 3.23 kills per set.

Georgia Tech leads the all-time series, 33-18, but the Cavaliers won the last meeting, 3-2, on Nov. 2, 2012 in Charlottesville.

The Tigers (11-10, 5-5 ACC) come into the weekend having won four of their last six conference matches, including a win over Boston College (3-0) last weekend. In its last outing, Clemson fell at Syracuse, 3-1. Moneshia Simmons leads the Tigers, averaging 4.72 kills per set.

Clemson has a 40-15 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools and was victorious, 3-1, on Nov. 3, 2012 at Memorial Gymnasium.

Up next, the Cavaliers host Florida State and Miami next weekend (Nov. 8-9). Both matches start at 7 p.m.
