The Cavaliers have seven newcomers (six freshmen, one transfer) and boast the No. 12-ranked recruiting class in the country.

The Herd finished 2012 with an 18-13 record, along with a 8-8 mark in Conference USA, but only lose one starter from last year’s squad. The Cavaliers lead the all-time series, 4-1, including a 3-0 triumph in a 2011 tournament at Ohio.
