Virginia Divers Complete Day Two of NCAA Zone Championships

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va.—All six Virginia divers competing at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships qualified for finals on Tuesday (March 11) at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
Junior JB Kolod (Pittsburgh, Pa.) placed fifth in the men’s 1-meter event with a total of 618.70 points (282.15 in prelims), while sophomore Carl Buergler (Arlington, Va.) was 12th with 585.15 (293.65 in prelims). Sophomore Colby Shinholser (Burtonsvile, Md.) finished 13th with 573.35 points (292.60 in prelims), while classmate Jordan Sacks (Wilmette, Ill.) was 15th with 552.75 (277.35 in prelims).
On the women’s 3-meter boards, sophomore Katie Warburg (Wilton, Conn.) placed ninth with 544.15 points (277.70 in prelims). Fellow sophomore Becca Corbett (Louisville, Ky.) finished 14th with 523.25 points (247.55 in prelims).
The meet concludes Wednesday (March 12) when both the men and women compete in platform diving. Action is slated for a noon start.
