Charlottesville, Va. – The Golf Coaches Association of America today announced today Virginia men’s golfer Denny McCarthy (Rockville, Md.) has been named a second-team PING All-American. It marks the second All-America honor for the rising Cavalier senior this week. Golfweek previously named him a second-team All-American.
McCarthy finished his junior year with a 70.38 stroke average and he was ranked No. 8 in the final Golfstat individual rankings. He was the runner-up at the ACC Championships and placed sixth at the NCAA Columbia Regional.
