Elbaba Edged in Consolation Singles Final at ITA All-American

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Virginia junior Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) was defeated by North Carolina’s Jamie Loeb in the consolation singles final on Sunday (Oct. 5) at the 2014 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships.

No. 1 Loeb defeated No. 5 Elbaba 4-6, 6-1, 7-6(4) to earn automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 6-9 in Flushing, N.Y.

Elbaba finished the tournament with a 3-2 record. The Cavaliers host the UVa Fall Invite on Friday-Sunday, Oct. 10-12.
